Who am I? My name is Mandy de Waal, I am 24 years old and I live in Delft. I work as a freelance teacher of the Dutch language (Dutch for foreigners). I am friendly, motivating and goal-oriented. I will help you to improve your Dutch. For example, I like to use the 'Delftse Methode'. By means of interesting and relevant texts you will learn to speak and to write Dutch. You will learn the texts and after that we will talk about their subjects. After that, you can put it into practise! Background I graduated in the direction of Communication- & Informationsciences and Applied Linguistics at the 'VU University Amsterdam'. A part of that was a NT2-teachers training, which I finished being valued 'very competent'. During my internships at the ATC Leiden (Leiden University) and the ITAV Delft (TU Delft) I noticed I liked teaching. It gives me energy if students improve their Dutch language skills. That is why I decided to make a living out of it! For example I currently teach Dutch on a freelance basis at the TU Delft.
